Frequent updates with new features and fixes are made available for download at amigopos.com and can be installed over an existing release without uninstalling first. A list of new features and fixes is available at https://www.amigopos.com/Download/ProgramUpdates.

 

To install an update:

  1. Back up the SQL Server database
  2. Download the latest release at https://amigopos.com/Download/Version9. Logging in to the web site is not required and the license will remain valid when the update is installed.
  3. Shut down the pos application, back office, the remote display and any AmigoPOS client applications at all pos stations, tablets and back office computers
  4. Install the update on all pos stations, tablets and back office computers and reboot if prompted. All settings are retained and the application will continue to use the existing database server settings.

 

Note that the same version of the application must be installed on all networked computers and installing an older release on a system with a database that has already been updated by a new release will render the system inoperable until the latest release is installed.
