SQL Backup Master is a lightweight database backup application that will automatically backup the pos database on a schedule using the Windows Task Schedule. The free edition allows backing up to the local file system including USB flash drives or external hard drives, dropbox or box. The paid editions include Google Drive, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Secure FTP, Amazon S3 and other backup destinations.

 

 

Installation and Setup

 

SQL Backup Master on the main pos station where the data service application is running.  Complete the following steps to install and configure SQL Backup Master:

 

1. Select a backup destination: An external drive, shared drive on a different computer or a USB flash drive is preferred. A directory on the local file system can also be used.
2. Download and Install SQL Backup Master: https://www.sqlbackupmaster.com/download
3. Create a new backup job: Specify the database server and database, the backup destination and the schedule. After the job is created, click the backup button to verify that the database is backed up to the correct destination.
