The data service application communicates using port 765. The following are typical scenarios for adding a firewall exception.
Automatic (using the default Windows Defender firewall)
The first time that the data service application is started, the user is prompted to create a new database and the application will start along with a prompt from Windows to add a firewall exception. Click Allow Access at the prompt and the data service application will be able to communicate using port 765 with other computers on the local network.
Manual (using the default Windows Defender firewall)
A firewall exception can be added to Windows Defender firewall by opening Windows Control Panel/Windows Defender Firewall and adding an exception for DataService.exe, typically located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Amigo Pos.
Manual (3rd party firewall)
